Huaqing Palace, also known as Huaqing Pool, is located at the foot of Mountain Lishan from the southand is next to Weihe River from the north. It enjoys the fames as the National 5A Scenic Spot, the BestNational Scenic Attraction, an Important Cultural and Historic Site under State Protection, National CulturalIndustry Demonstration Base and UNESCO Global Geopark. Ancient emperors of Zhou, Qin, Han, Sui andTang Dynasties built palaces in the site. With a number of top attractions, like the major hot spring source, theplace where “the sovereign rulers were fooled by the beacon fire”, the origin of the legendary love between theTang Emperor Xuanzong and his favorite lady Yang Yuhuan in the 8th century and a modern event in 1936known as Xi'an Incident, the royal residence has become the landmark of Chinese tourism atractions of TangCulture.

Huaqing Palace consists of five cultural parts, including Museum of Tang Dynasty Bathing Pools,remains of the Xi'an Incident-The Five Room Hall, the Nine Dragon Lake, the Crabapple Flower Lake and thesite of the Pear Garden where musicians were trained in the Tang Dynasty (618-907AD). The Frost DriftingHall, the Longevity Hall, the Palace of Eternal Youth, Huanyuan Garden and the King Yu Memorial Hall arethe places visitors enjoy the most. With a peak at an altitude of 1302 meters, Mountain Lishan will surprise youwith various visiting sites, such as Lishan Goddess Hall, site of the Laozi Hall, the Beacon Tower, theRemonstration Hall, Stone Vat Temple and the Immortal Bridge.
