The Song of Everlasting Sorrow: First show starts at 7:40 PM, second show starts at 9:05 PM, third show starts at 10:30 PM, and fourth show starts at 11:55.

Only one Huaqing Palace ticket can be purchased per valid ID per day. Tickets are valid for two days from the date of purchase and allow re-entry.

Transport guide

By high-speed train

From your departure point, travel to Xi'an North Railway Station (high-speed/bullet trains), Xi'an Railway Station (regular/bullet trains), or Xi'an South Railway Station (a suburban station for regular trains). Upon arrival, take the subway or a direct shuttle bus to the attraction entrance.

By air

From your departure point, travel to Xi'an Xianyang International Airport, then take the subway or a direct shuttle bus to the attraction entrance.

By subway

From Exit B or C of Huaqingchi Station on Xi'an Metro Line 9, it's a 3–5 min walk to Wangjing Gate of the attraction.

By bus

From downtown, take Tourist Bus No. 5 (Route 306) and get off at Huaqingchi Station. The attraction entrance is located right at the bus stop.

Self-driving

Navigate to "Huaqing Palace". Ample parking is available, and the drive from downtown Xi'an takes approx. 40 minutes via the expressway.

By private transfer

Suitable for family/group trips, with city hotel pick-up and drop-off. Enjoy a relaxed pace and the option to combine your tour with a visit to Emperor Qinshihuang's Mausoleum Site Museum.

Visiting tips

Tang Dynasty In-Character Tour of the Imperial Bathhouse Museum:

1–5 people (admission not included): CNY 888 / group

6–10 people (admission not included): CNY 1,088 / group

11–15 people (admission not included): CNY 1,288 / group

*Includes complimentary extras, such as a tea break at the West Hall of Huaqing Palace and an overview of the indoor exhibits.Currently, the scenic area guide service is only available in Chinese and English. Reservations must be made at least one day in advance.

Time management

The park is busier during holidays and the summer, so we recommend arriving before 8:00 AM to beat the crowds. Allow 2–3 hours to explore Mount Li so you don't have to rush.

Recommended side trips

Huaqing Palace and the Terracotta Army are both on the same tourist route in Lintong. We recommend visiting them on the same day, as they are only a 15-minute drive apart.

What to bring

On sunny days, please prepare sun protection items in advance, such as sun hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. On rainy days, please bring your own umbrella, raincoat, or other rain gear to avoid getting wet and catching cold. The temperature during night performances tends to be lower with cool evening breezes—please add layers as needed to keep warm.
